Overview

Hyperakt grounds its work in a user-centric perspective. Taking partners through persona exercises helps them to take their inherent knowledge about their target audiences and put it on paper. This grounds the Hyperakt team in what is known and what needs to be researched.

Steps

  1. Determine top three to four priority audiences (this can be done as part of the 4 Ws & 1 H activity).
  2. Assign each audience group to one of the client participants.
  3. Have client partners fill out the persona worksheet.
  4. Share back to the large group and discuss.
  • Make sure you assign the persona to the client with the most expertise on that group.
  • Make sure to note key points of tension or assumptions that need proof for further research.

Debrief

The group should leave this activity with a better sense of the groups they are trying to speak to. Putting our brains in first person helps to tease out insights we didn't realize we had access to.
